Income Qualifications: 66% of the dwelling units are occupied by a family unit whose income is at or below 80% of AMI or 200% of the poverty level.
Weatherization Services Provided Can Include:
WAP work includes but is not limited to, the installation of attic, wall, and floor insulation; replacement and/or repair of Heating, Venting, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, including central systems and ductwork; exhaust fans, central and vented wall furnaces, removal of unvented space heaters venting items to code; removal and replacement of window A/C units; replacement of refrigerators; gas stoves and water heaters; replacement and/or repair of windows, doors or storm windows; installation of solar screens; weather-stripping, caulking, and other air infiltration reduction measures, digital thermostats, smoke, and carbon monoxide (CO) detector installation, etc.
Purpose of Request for Application (RFA)
This RFA aims to identify eligible multifamily properties through qualification to provide energy conservation and health and safety renovation services within the state of Maine for the Maine State Housing Authority and implemented by ICAST. Work will be performed in multifamily units for the Multifamily Weatherization Assistance Program.
